An Elevate Imaging box and a Xerox Everyday Toner box side by side, each with the same CF258X toner cartridge in front of it, and an arrow pointing from the Elevate box to the Xerox box.

Elevate Imaging is becoming Xerox Everyday Toner: what changes and what does not

Elevate Imaging is becoming Xerox Everyday Toner. The name on the box is changing. The cartridge inside it is not.

Same OEM codes. Same specifications and page yields. Same manufacturing. The same Limited Lifetime Warranty, handled by the same Canadian team. While the changeover is underway, an order may arrive in an Elevate Imaging box or in a Xerox Everyday Toner box. Either way it is the cartridge you ordered, and either way you contact us if something needs fixing.

That is the short version. Here is the rest of it.

What happened

Xerox acquired Lexmark on 1 July 2025.

Elevate Imaging is the aftermarket toner line that Lexmark endorsed. With Lexmark now part of Xerox, that line is moving into Xerox's own Everyday Toner portfolio and taking the Xerox name with it.

It is worth being precise about what the Lexmark endorsement ever meant, because it is the part people tend to misread. It was never a compatibility requirement. You have never needed a Lexmark printer to use these cartridges, and you will not need a Xerox printer to use them either. The endorsement was a statement about manufacturing quality, and that is the thing carrying over.

A parent company changed and a product line is being renamed to match. Nothing about the cartridge was re-engineered for the occasion.

What does not change

The OEM code. A cartridge that replaces CF258X still replaces CF258X. Every code and part number carries across unchanged, which is the practical thing that matters when you are reordering. If you order by code, nothing about how you order changes: the same codes are listed in our HP and Brother collections.

The specifications. Same rated page yield, measured against the same ISO standards, 19752 for monochrome and 19798 for colour, and independently tested rather than self-declared.

The manufacturing. The cartridges are still made by Static Control, to the same specifications. Four decades of building these cartridges and a defect rate under one percent.

The warranty. The Limited Lifetime Warranty stands: every cartridge is guaranteed free of defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the cartridge, with a free replacement if a problem develops. That includes remanufactured cartridges, which make up most of what we sell. It also includes printer damage protection, so if an authorised service provider documents one of our cartridges as the sole cause of damage to a printer it was designed for, the repair or replacement is covered.

Who handles a claim. We do. You will not be routed to a manufacturer's support line in another country to argue about a cartridge you bought from us. One team, here, on the same email address you already have.

Where it ships from. The same Canadian warehouses, in Montréal, Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver. Orders are dispatched within one business day and typically arrive in one to three. Prices stay in Canadian dollars, with no customs charges and no duties.

What does change

The brand name and the artwork on the box.

That is genuinely the list. During the changeover, either box may show up at your door, because stock moves through the warehouses at its own pace and we are not going to hold an order back to wait for matching packaging.

What it means for the prices you are seeing

This is a rebranding event, and current Elevate Imaging stock is priced for it. That is the reason the numbers on the site look the way they do right now, and it holds while that stock is on the shelf. If you have been waiting on a reorder, this is a reasonable moment to make it.

If a Xerox box arrives and you were not expecting one

Check the OEM code printed on the cartridge against what you ordered. That code is the thing that determines whether it fits your printer, and it does not change with the packaging.

If it does not match, or if anything else looks wrong, email us at support@elevateimagingcartridges.ca and we will sort it out. That is true of any order, but it is worth saying plainly during a changeover, because an unexpected box is exactly the kind of thing people quietly worry about instead of asking.

Why we are telling you now

A supplier that explains a change before you notice it is a supplier that will answer when something goes wrong.

We would rather you read this today than open an unfamiliar box in three weeks and spend twenty minutes trying to work out whether you were sent the wrong thing. The cartridge is the same. The support is the same. Only the name on the box is moving.
